A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

Hello, we are Team Alpha and this is Withered Away.

This game is a fast paced 2D Adventure Platformer that will make you think on your feet. You assume the role of a lone king whose people were consumed by a cursed mist. Before escaping, you were afflicted by the curse and now must keep running or be consumed by the mist. It’s now up to you to make it to the center of the forest and eliminate the source of the curse. We want you to experience the thrill of running near the brink of death. Our game was inspired by the speed of Sonic, Move or Die mechanics, and Hollow Knight aesthetics. 

Can you outrun the mist?

Controls:

  • A/D or Left/ Right Arrow: Move Horizontally
  • Spacebar: Jump (and Double Jump)
  • L: Dash
  • K: Dive
  • J: Attack
  • Esc: Pause
  • R: Reset Button

Install instructions

Choose either the Windows or Mac zip file and download it. Decompress the file. For the Mac build, you should only need to click on the .app file to start the game. For the Windows build, go into the file and click on the .exe file to start the game.
